En 1991, Jacquy Bitch se lance dans une carrière solo, laissant derrière lui le groupe Neva qui disparu en 1989 avec deux albums incontournables. Autoproduisant deux cassettes et une video regroupant extraits de concerts et clips, Jacquy Bitch s'affirme comme un acteur essentiel de la scène "electro-batcave" française. Remarqué par de nombreux concerts, où se mêlent théatralité baroque et performances apocalyptiques, Jacquy Bitch sort un 5titres où figure l'indispensable "Jesus" puis un premier CD "Coram" sorti chez Dark Side en 1998. Le clown macabre ressort de l'ombre en 2003 avec "Haine", un album où s'infiltrent la modernité d'un electro-rock industriel puissant dans les influences batcave et new wave indissociables de l'univers de Jacquy Bitch. Sortira prochainement "Story From The Old Years" un album qui signe un retour aux sources sur le Label Alone Production ... In 1991 Jacquy Bitch launched his solo career, leaving behind him his previous group Neva (Louchald, Vision, etc…..), a group that disbanded in 1989 following two essential albums. Releasing two self produced cassettes and a video comprising concert clips and other assorted extracts, Jacquy Bitch soon confirmed his position as a cult figure of the French ‘electro-batcave’ scene. Noted for concerts that were a mix of the baroque theatrical, and performances sprinkled with surrealist language and apocalyptic imagery, Jacquy Bitch brought out a Mini 5 track CD containing the indispensable ‘Jesus’, then a first CD ‘Coram’ released on the Dark Side label in 1998. The ‘Clown of the Macabre’ stepped out from the shadows again in 2003 with the release of ‘Haine’, an album full of powerful industrial electro-rock, and the habitual Jacquy Bitch batcave and new wave influences that had become his trade mark. A 13 track album “Story from the Old Years” will be released in October 2007 on the ‘Alone Production’ label. Neva était un trio résolument original, originaire de Saint Quentin, composé de Jacquy (basse et chant), Bob et Eric (synths) et de Renée (la boite à rythme). Leur formation remonte à l'automne 83. Jacquy baignait dans l'ambiance des Virgin Prunes et des Christian Death et leurs concerts alliaient prestation théatrale et performance musicale. Neva était une exception dans la scène indépendante française, mais malheureusement le groupe a stoppé ses activités en 1990. The Brotherhood Of Pagans est un groupe goth français crée en mars 1990. Bâti sur les cendres de deux autres formations “Cold Wave” – Itchy _Souls et Nuits Hérétiques_, il est alors composé de Alien (guitare rythmique et chant), Coccs (synthés), Sailor (batterie), Elrik (basse) et Vox populi (guitare). Si en 1991, le groupe commence à donner ses premiers concerts, c’est en 1993 que les “BOP” se font réellement connaître grâce, notamment, à une rencontre décisive avec le label français Darkland Of Tears. Celui-ci leur a permis, entre autres, d’ouvrir un concert de Corpus Delicti à Nice et de se produire au festival de Dorsten (Allemagne) devant plus de 800 personnes, marquant ainsi le début de leur notoriété. Cette collaboration avec Darkland Of Tears leur permet, en outre, de figurer sur de nombreuses compilations : celles de leur label d’abord, comme Cold Tears” ou “Gothicland”, puis dans des compilations produites par des labels internationaux de renom comme la « Goth Box » de Cleopatra ou le « Death by Dawn » de Appolyon. Au total les Brotherhood figurent dans une douzaine de compilations sur les 5 continents marquant leur capacité à séduire tous les publics avant même d’avoir produit un seul album. Celui-ci sort néanmoins en mars 1995. Immédiatement « Tales of Vampires » connaît un grand succès. Distribué dans 17 pays, il voit émerger deux grands classiques du genre : l’implacable « Resurrection » et l’indémodable « Guilty ». Malheureusement, à l’apogée de sa gloire, le groupe se dissout suite au départ du bassiste Elrick. Néanmoins, le groupe n’a jamais cessé de se voir, mais il apparaissait difficile de relancer la machine après de si longues années. Et surtout de ressusciter la confrérie sans deux des membres d’origine, Alien, qui poursuit désormais une carrière solo sous le nom de Alien Marteens et Elrick qui oeuvre désormais au sein du groupe Disorder. En 2006 néanmoins, Vox, Coccs et Sailor (qui assure désormais le chant) décident de reprendre ensemble le chemin du studio et de s’atteler à l’écriture d’un nouvel album « Only Once" sorti en février 2009 chez Alone Prod. Risen from the ashes of two other groups of the Cold Wave genre – Itchy Souls and Nuits Heretiques, it initially comprised Alien (rhythm guitar and vocals), Coccs (synthesiser), Sailor (drums), Elrik (Bass) and Vox Populi (guitar). The group began playing it’s first live gigs in 1991, but it was during the course of 1993 that the ‘BOP’ started to make themselves known, thanks principally to the beginning of a their relationship with the French label ‘Darkland of Tears’. Among other things, this enabled the BOP to provide support for Corpus Delicti at a concert in Nice, and to appear at a Festival in Dorsten (Germany) in front of 800 people. This marked the start of their journey. This collaboration with Darkland of Tears further allowed BOP access to numerous compilation albums, firstly those on the Darkland label such as ‘Cold Tears’ and ‘Gothicland’, then on compilations produced by International labels of renown like ‘Goth Box’ by Cleopatra, and ‘Death by Dawn’ by Appolyon. The Brotherhood featured on around a dozen compilations on 5 continents, evidence of their ability to attract public attention even though they had yet to produce their first album. The afore-mentioned first album finally appeared in March 1995. ‘Tales of Vampires’ was an immediate success. Released in 17 countries, their debut album threw up 2 classics of the genre, the unrelenting ‘Resurrection’ and the never to be forgotten ‘Guilty’. Unfortunately at the peak of it’s glory, the band split following the departure of it’s bassist Elrik. More than just a group member, Elrik was a brother, and following his departure the group decided to put the BOP into hibernation. Yet, they still met regularly, it just seemed too difficult to start the machine after such a long time. And also, how could they revive the Brotherhood without two of its original members? Indeed, Alien was working on a solo project under the name Alien Marteens, and Elrick had joined the band Disorder. In 2006, Vox, Coccs and Sailor (now the singer of the band) decided to head for the studio in order to start writing a new album: Only Once, produced in february 2006 by Alone Prod.

Bloody barrel organs and creepy guitars for bat child... » Formé en mai 2007 par Alëks (Basse), Önuk (Voix) et Hërmann (Claviers), Castrati affiche très vite sa volonté d’être avant tout un groupe live et présente ses propres compositions un mois plus tard sur la scène du Bauhaus Bar, à Lyon.. Ils adoptent tout de suite un univers décalé, dérangeant, mais enfantin, à l’atmosphère scénique glam. Suite au départ précipité du premier guitariste, Divine, durant l’été (qui se consacre à ses projets Undercover Slut et Brand New Virgin), ils rencontrent Brïtz, ayant entre autres collaboré avec Mac Gregor d’Eat Your Make Up et Alan Woxx. Un premier LP est enregistré par JF (Eat Your Make Up et Lonely Beat Records) durant l’automne : Let The Cat Out Of The [Plastic] Bag Après diverses scènes en France et en Suisse, le clavieriste Hërmann, (The Voices) quitte le projet courant 2008, laissant ainsi sa place à Tess (Orange Gaze). A la recherche d’une énergie nouvelle, Castrati abandonne quelques concerts plus tard sa boîte à rythme, au profit de la batterie de Sam (Le Parti, Clean Cuts…) Aujourd’hui stabilisé autour d’un line up éclectique et créatif, Castrati est, plus que jamais, déterminé à faire découvrir son répertoire original. They adopt at one a moved, disturbing but childish universe in a scenic glam atmosphere. After different line up, but always around the initial pit, a first LP is recorded by JF (Eat Your Make Up). Now, Castrati is touring with a drumer. With an eclectic and creative line up, Castrati is more than ever determined to make discover its original directory.
